Eighteen games into the season, the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team (5-13 overall; 0-6 Southeast) is still searching for their first win in conference. Washington returns to the court tonight for another opportunity at win number one of the season against Southeast Conference competition as the Fort Madison Bloodhounds come to town.

Washington has dropped their first six conference games all by double-digits. In there first meeting with Fort Madison, the Demons fell 56-40 to the Bloodhounds last Tuesday. Junior guard Morgan Kimball scored a game-high 12 points and while junior forward Addie Pacha brought down 12 rebounds against the Bloodhounds in Fort Madison.

Washington has been better offensively recently, averaging 52.2 points over the last four games. In their latest game against Davis County, Washington scored a season-high 65 points in a 17 points win at Washington High School on Tuesday evening. Three Demon players scored in double figures led by junior guard Amber Salow’s game-high 15 points. Pacha had 14 points and brought down 10 rebounds while Kimball scored 10 points and swiped three steals in the win.
