It was a tough season for the Winfield-Mt. Union girls’ basekball team, finishing with a record of 3-19. They lost in the first round of postseason against the New London Tigers in a close battle, 53-52.

Three Wolves were named to the Southeast Iowa Super Conference All-Conference team. Senior Karlie Wade was named fist all-conference team thanks to her performance this season. Wade accumulated 297 points and averaged 13.5 points per game. She was the Wolves’ best three-point shooter, shooting 38.2 percent from behind the arc. She also led the team in steals with a total of 62.

Senior Samantha Jamison and junior Caitlin Jamison were named honorable mentions. Samantha Jamison was the Wolves’ leading rebounder with 125 rebounds. She also led the team in assists with 47 total. Caitlin Jamison was second on the team in assists with 30.

W-MU’s best win came against the Wapello Arrows where the Wolves got their first victory of the season winning 39-37, after starting the season 0-15.
