Winfield-Mount Union School District’s new superintendent begins in July. The school board recently selected Jeff Maeder for the position. Maeder is currently serving as principal at Columbus Community High School. According to School Board President, Klay Edwards, when Coen resigned last year to take a superintendent position at another district, they didn’t have enough time to find a permanent replacement. He says due to the lack of time, they hired Launi Dane to serve as interim superintendent for the current school year.
