An Amber Alert was issued Saturday afternoon for an alleged child abduction in Johnson County. According to the Department of Public Safety, authorities believe 48-year-old Kenneth Eugene Johns abducted 9-year-old Brianna Crane of Solon. The Amber Alert described Johns as possibly armed and dangerous, driving a 2014 four-door gray Ford Focus.

Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, Crane was dropped off safely to law enforcement by a third party. Johns was taken into custody nearly eight hours later in Davenport by the Davenport Police Department Tactical Unit.
