Several KCII senior basketball players came together Saturday evening for a pair of Southeast Iowa Senior All-Star Games held at Father Minett Gymnasium in Burlington.

The girls’ game tipped off first with 66 percent of the North roster being made up of KCII area athletes. Winfield-Mount Union’s Karlie Wade scored a team-high 15 points and had three steals in a 53-47 victory over the South All-Stars. Highland’s Chelsey Lampe scored 11 points, collected four steals, and brought down three rebounds in the win.

Other KCII area athlete’s who particpated in the All-Star game include: Dylan Schuletter (Washington), Sydney Hoffman (Washington), Riley Schmieder (Iowa Mennonite School), Makenzie Reynolds (Lone Tree).

The boys’ game was more lopsided, with the South cruising to a 127-93 victory over the North. The Lone Tree Lion’s had a great showing from their three senior All-Stars. Nick Viner had a team-high 15 points and dished out three assists in the game. Thomas Viner added 10 points, two rebounds, and two assists, while Matt Weiland had five points, collected four rebounds, and had a steal in the loss.

Highland’s Jessie Woolrab scored nine of his 13 points in the first half. Woolrab scored a game-high four three pointers in the setback.

Other KCII area athletes who played in the boys’ All-Star game included: Thomas Bump (Washington), Danny Lam (IMS), Payton Miller (IMS), Braden Blake (WACO) and Riley Heinzel (W-MU).
