The season has come and gone for the IMS boys’ basketball team who finished with a winning record of 14-9. Five players from this year’s team have been selected for the Southeast Iowa Super-Conference team.

Junior Eli Gingerich was named player of the year and First Team All Conference. Gingerich was one of the most consistent players, averaging 14.8 points per game. He led the conference in free throws, shooting 89.5 percent. Gingerich was also third the conference in assists with 120.

Seniors Peyton Miller and Kirby Shetler were named Second Team All Conference for their efforts this season. Miller led the team with 167 total rebounds. Shetler was second on the team in steals with 32.

Sophomore Nick Yutzy and senior Danny Lam were named honorable mentions. Yutzy who sat out the second half of the basketball season due to injury, made 46.6 percent of his shots second best on the team. Lam was second best on the team in number of free throws made with 45.
Miller, Shetler, and Lam will graduate this spring.
