The Iowa Mennonite boy’s basketball team’s junior Eli Gingerich received more honors for his efforts this basketball season. Gingerich was named to Class 1A substate 4 team thanks to the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association. He helped lead IMS to a 14-9 record, they lost in the second round of the postseason to Montezuma, 46-39.

Gingerich led the team in points with 340 total this season and averaged 14.8 points per game. He led the conference in free throws, shooting 89.5 percent. Gingerich was also third in the conference in assists with 120. Gingerich was also named player of the year and First Team All Conference.
