The Iowa Mennonite School girls’ track team will have their first outdoor track meet of the season as they travel to Belle Plaine.

Head coach Marty Gingerich says this meet is a little bit out of the norm than they have scheduled in the past, “It’s the first time I have gone to that meet, so we will see some competition that will be new to us.”

IMS will look to their senior Riley Schmeider to help in the events with the 1500 and 3000 meter run. Schmeider placed eighth out of over 200 participants in the 1500 meter run at Central College.

Events will begin today at 4:30 p.m. in Belle Plaine.
