The Keota Eagle boys’ basketball team had a winning season with a record of 12-10, but lost in the first round of the postseason to Twin Cedars, 71-66. The Eagles sent four players to the South Iowa Cedar All-Conference Team.

Senior Nate Owen was named First Team All-Conference. He led the team in points with 419 and he led the conference in points per game with a 20 points. He was second in the conference in total rebounds with 240 and led the conference in assists with 95.

Junior Zach Mousel made Second Team All-Conference. He was the Eagles’ best free throw shooter at 75.3 percent.

Juniors Nate Sieren and Isaiah Hahn were named honorable mentions. Sieren was one of the Eagles better shooters, shooting at 46.8 percent. Hahn was Keota’s best three-point shooter, making 42.9 percent of his shots from behind the arc.

Keota will only lose Owen for the next basketball season due to graduation.
