Two documentary filmmakers will be in Henry County tomorrow to discuss their series focused on the Ioway. According to Kelly Rundle, who made the three part documentary series with his wife Tammy, the Ioway and their ancestors inhabited what’s now known as Iowa for up to 10,000 years prior to European settlement. He says the films follow the groups removal from Iowa in 1837 to a reservation in Kansas, a split that occurred among the group, and the establishment of a second Ioway tribe in Oklahoma. The Rundles will hold a question and answer session and screening of the second and third installments at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Oakland Mills Nature Center.
