The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk Basketball team capped off the 2014-15 basketball season with their team banquet on Tuesday. Some of the awards given in the event were all team selections, varsity letter winners, best offensive and defensive player, and most valuable player.

Junior Alex Rath was awarded most valuable player during the banquet. She was also recognized for been on the South Iowa Valley First Team All-Conference. She was also honored for been on the All-Conference Academic All Conference Team. She also got awarded for the most steals (48) award for the team.

Senior Taylor Kurtz was recognized for her accomplishments this season. Kurtz was the only player on the team that was selected to the Elite All-Conference team. Kurtz was also on the All-Conference Academic team. She was awarded from the team with having the most rebounds (152) on the team. She will be participating in the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association All Star game on March 28th at the Grimes Center in Grimes.

Senior Ali Riggan was presented with the best offensive player for the team. Riggan was selected for the First Team All-Conference team. She was also on the Academic All Conference Team. She won the awards for having the most assists (40), and the free throw award . She also been participating along with Kurtz in IBCA All Star game.

Senior Lexi Duwa was presented with the best defensive player award. She was also on the Academic All Conference team. She started every game for the Golden Hawks and had 31 steals which was third best on the team.
