Demon Girls’ Track Team Returns to Competition

Over two weeks since their opening meet of the season, the Washington Demon girls’ track team returns to competition this morning in their final indoor invitational of the year. Washington will participate in the 2015 Central College Girls’ High School Track and Field today in Pella, their first competition since the Demon Indoor Invitational on March 5.

The Demons will battle schools from across southern and central Iowa including: Adel, Atlantic, Carlisle, Centerville, Central Lee, Clarke, Creston, Des Moines Christian Des Moines Hoover, Iowa City West, Iowa Mennonite School, Lone Tree, Madrid, Marshalltown, Mediapolis, Mount Pleasant, Saint Angsar, Shenandoah, Southeast Polk, WACO, Waukee, Wayne, West Burlington, and West Central Valley.

Competition begins with field events at 10 a.m. and running trials to follow 30 minutes later from Central College in Pella. Tune into Monday’s KCII Sports Page for results.
