The Safe at Home Act has passed the Iowa House unanimously. Secretary of State Paul Pate visited Washington Friday to discuss the legislation. The Act allows victims of domestic assault and other crimes to relocate without their abusers or stalkers finding them by keeping their physical address private. He added his office anticipates 500 participants in Iowa, currently Minnesota has approximately 1,500 participants. Pate did state this does not provide relocation, counseling or legal services.
