The Washington County Board of Supervisors will revisit their discussion regarding adding the City of Riverside to the county’s hazard mitigation plan in their meeting tomorrow. At last week’s meeting, Supervisor Richard Young said the City of Riverside has not approached the Emergency Management Commission to be added to the plan. He stated that the commission must approve the addition before it is brought before the board of supervisors. Young explained that changes go through ECICOG, the East Central Iowa Council of Governments.

The Emergency Management Commission meets at 6 p.m., March 18th, at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. To view the 2012 hazard mitigation plan for the county click here.
