The Sigourney Savage girls’ basketball team finished with a record of 13-10 and fell in the first round of the playoffs losing to English Valleys, 58-52. The Savages had four players selected for the South Iowa Cedar Conference teams.

Senior Jordan Carter and junior Serria Davis were named Second Team All-Conference. Carter led the team in rebounds with 168 total and was the team’s best shooter at 50.2 percent from the field. Davis led the team in points with 357 total points at 16.2 points per game. She was the team’s best three-point shooter, shooting 30.3 percent.

Freshmen Brooke Waechter and Autum Barthelman were named honorable mentions. Wacheter led the team in steals with 75. Barthelman led the Savages in assists with 59.

Sigourney will lose three seniors including; Carter, Emily Sande and Brooke Schroeder.
