The Sigourney girls’ track team is set up for another season this spring.

The Savages have 22 athletes on the team, three of which qualified for state in the shuttle meter relay. Head coach Jenny Harder feels like this team is well-balanced, “We have seven hurdlers, which is a good number for us since we like to focus on hurdles. We have a good number of distance runners and sprinters so we’re well balanced there. I know we’re a little weak in the field events, we’re trying to get people to step up and fill those spots, but overall pretty well rounded numbers wise.”

The Sigourney girls will have their first outdoor track meet on Tuesday, March 31st, at the Belle Plaine Invitational.
