Three Washington Demon bowlers have been recognized as some of the best bowlers in their district. The Class 1A District 10 bowling teams were released and include: sophomore Colin Zear, senior Kaliey Martin, and senior Ivy Hamilton.

Zear was selected to the All-District Second Team. Zear finished the year with a two-game average of 378, and had six games where he scored over 200 points. At the district bowling meet, Zear scored a two-game score of 329, good for 14th overall in the boys’ individual competition.

Martin made the girls’ All-District Second Team. She finished her high school bowling career with a two-game average of 309. In the district meet, Martin bowled a two-game score of 330, good for seventh best in the girls’ individual competition.

Finally, Hamilton was chosen as an All-District honorable mention selection. Hamilton ended her high school bowling career with a two-game average score of 307, and bowled a season-best 221 in her second game against the Keokuk Chiefs on Jan. 31. In the district meet, she finished with a two-game score of 323, the 10th best finish in the girls’ competition.
