After achieving the most wins in nearly three decades, the Highland Huskies boys’ basketball team was awarded with six all-conference selections by the coaches of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North.

Among those selections is sophomore guard Trent Lasek, who was an unanimous pick for First Team All-Conference. Lasek led the Huskies in total points scored this season with 318, total free throws made with 73, and assists with 103. Senior guard Jesse Wollrab and junior guard Tucker Hall also garnered First Team All-Conference honors for the Huskies. Wollrab was second on the team in assists with 99, while Hall finished with a team-leading 60 three pointers made this season.

Junior forward Nick Sandburg was selected to the All-Conference second team. Sandburg ended his season as the team’s leader in rebounds with 116, and second on the team in blocks with 13.

Junior forward Tereze Lanfair and sophomore guard Bill Burton were named as All-Conference honorable mention selections.

The Highland Huskies finished their season with a 18-5 overall mark, the best finish since the mid-1980’s.
