Two senior Mid-Prairie girl basketball players participated in the annual All Star Game at the Grimes High School last Saturday. Taylor Kurtz and Ali Riggan participated in the event.

In the first game, Kurtz had 13 points and Riggan had nine points, all three-pointers, in the first half. They lost the first game 92-88.

They would also lose the second game 78-72. Kurtz had eight points with Riggan left scoreless.

Kurtz, who was Mid-Prairie’s leading scorer during the basketball season with 203 total points, is continuing her basketball career at Waldorf College, where she will also play softball.

Riggan was the Golden Hawk’s leading three-point shooter and fifth in the conference in three-point shots made with 39.
