The leading scorer of the WACO Warrior girls’ basketball team has been named to another postseason basketball team. Senior Aaliyah Brown, a First Team All-Southeast Iowa Super Conference North selection, has been named to the Iowa Basketball Coaches All-Region team.

Brown, who competed in the Class 1A Region 7 tournament, averaged 12.4 points and 5.7 rebounds in 21 games for the Warriors this season. In three postseason game, Brown scored 34 total points and brought down 13 total rebounds. Her efforts helped WACO advance to the Region 7 semifinal game, where the Warriors fell to the English Valleys Bears 48-36.

Brown is planning on playing basketball in college. She has verbally committed to play basketball next season with the Des Moines Area Community College Bears.
