Washington Community School District will have a changing of the guard this summer. On July 1st, Jeff Dicks will become the superintendent of the district. Yesterday he visited KCII Radio and discussed the district.

First, he shared he is currently the superintendent at Newell-Fonda and Albert City-Truesdal Community School Districts, and was previously a principal. He added that the partnership with Kirkwood and the district’s forward momentum pushed him to apply for the position in Washington.

Yesterday afternoon, an open house was held at the high school for staff, students and community members to meet the new superintendent. For the complete interview listen to today’s Washington Page.
