It was a tough year for the Columbus Community Wildcat boys’ basketball team finishing with a record of 2-20 and losing in the first round of the postseason to West Burlington, 90-76.

The Wildcats had three players named to the All-Conference Teams. Senior Chase Finke was named First Team All-Conference. Finke had 411 total points, averaging 18.7 points per game; both marks were top in the conference. He also had the most trips to at the charity stripe out of anyone in the conference with 167 attempts and made 89 of the shots.

Sophomore Carter Colby and junior Mauricio Ramirez were named honorable mentions. Colby was the Wildcats’ best free-throw shooter at 63.9 percent. Ramirez led the team in rebounds with 154 total.

The Wildcats will be losing Finke due to graduation, they will also be lose Ricardo Roman, Colten Guillaume, DJ Beechum, Angel Rodriguez, Jarrett Lekwa, Ethan Leyden, and Aramis Perez.
