Another busy week of competitions awaits the Washington Demon spring sports teams this week.

Washington’s girls’ golf team is holding back-to-back home matches this week at the Washington Golf and Country Club. The consecutive meets begin Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. as the Demons entertains the Mount Pleasant Panthers in a Southeast Conference dual. Then Tuesday afternoon, the Demon girls host a non-conference triangular with Pella and Ottumwa. Both events tee off at 4 p.m. at Washington County Golf and Country Club.

Washington’s boys’ golf team has a single competition this week, traveling to Fort Madison on Tuesday for a Southeast Conference triangular against the Bloodhounds and the Fairfield Trojans.

Washington’s boys’ and girls’ track teams are splitting up once again this week. The Demon boys’ track team has a single meet on the docket, traveling to Wellman on Tuesday for the Mid-Prairie Relays. Washington’s girls’ track team opens their competition week on Tuesday in Mount Pleasant a part of the Panther Relays. They return to the track on Thursday at Case Field for the girls only Demon Relays.

Finally, the Washington Demon boys’ and girls’ soccer teams have two Southeast Conference double headers this week. The teams host their first double header of the season on Tuesday afternoon, welcoming the Keokuk Chiefs to town for a pair of Southeast Conference matches. The teams will travel to Fort Madison together on Thursday for conference double dip with the Bloodhounds. Both double headers have the girls’ game kicking off at 4 p.m. and the boys’ game to follow.
