The chance to support cancer research by riding a bike is coming up next weekend. The Courage Ride, which starts and ends at Iowa Mennonite School, was started by Tom and Jackie Bailey in honor of their son who died of Sarcoma, a type of cancer.

All proceeds from the race go to benefit the University of Iowa Cancer Center’s research of the disease and to date the race has raised 113,000 dollars.

The race is being held next Saturday with registration held between 6 and 10am, but you can find a mail-in registration on their website at courageride.org.
