Crowns, tiaras, formal dresses and suits will be donned this Friday for the special Night to Shine banquet and dance in Washington.

The event is one of 500 held around the world with the Tim Tebow Foundation and is a prom for special needs adults in the community. Ann Williams has been working to help organize this event for months and says it’s going to be a special evening, “This is in conjunction with Valentine’s Day so that people know who have special needs that they are loved.” There will be approximately 100 attendees, and each will be crowned a king or queen and partnered with a buddy for the entire evening. The KC Hall will be decorated in blue, silver, and black, the colors of Night to Shine. The community has come together to host with volunteers serving, decorating, and dancing.
