The Washington boys’ golf team had their season opening dual delayed by a day. Severe weather Thursday prompted the Washington School district to postpone their Southeast Conference meet with the Mount Pleasant Panthers to this afternoon.

The meet’s location was in question recently as both schools had themselves scheduled as the road team for the season opener. According to Washington boys’ golf coach Mark Bershow, after some discussion, the two sides agreed to play the first meet of the year at Washington’s Golf and Country Club.

The season opener between Washington and Mount Pleasant’s boys’ golf teams is scheduled to tee off at 4 p.m. at the Washington Golf and Country Club. Tune in to tomorrow’s KCII local sports page for results from the meet.
