In their first 18 hole outing of season, the Washington Demon boys’ golf team (3-0 overall) put together another solid performance on the greens. The Demons participated in the 2015 Burlington Golf Tournament at Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington Wednesday afternoon, and won walking away with the lowest team score of 330 strokes.

Demon junior Derek Anding and freshman Dalton Meyers tied for the lowest individual score on the team, both completing Burlington’s course in 81 strokes. The two tied for second overall in the tournament. Sophomores Noah Enfield scored an 83 for the tournament for fifth place finish, and Mason Rich came in seventh place overall with 85 on his scorecard.

Washington was three strokes better than Mount Pleasant, and over 30 strokes better than West Burlington and Fort Madison. The Demons have yet to finish a meet outside of first place this season.

Washington’s boys’ golf team returns to the course next Tuesday in a Southeast Conference triangular against Fort Madison and Fairfield at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club.
