The season is set to begin next week for the Washington Demon girls’ soccer team. Washington head girls’ soccer coach Kyle Collins returns four seniors who were a part of last year’s 4-10 campaign.

Kayla Schindler was second on the team in goals last season, putting five in the back of the net. The other returning starters for Washington’s girls’ soccer team includes: Trevje Karugo, Malary Horak, and Stephanie Evans.

Junior Cheyanne Schalk returns as a multidimensional player for the Demons. Schalk scored three goals last season, the third highest total on the team, while also recording 38 saves as goal keeper. Schalk and Evans shared time in the net last season for Washington.

Washington opens their season on Tuesday as they travel to Columbus Junction for a non-conference match with the Columbus Wildcats.
