Fresh off a second place finish at the Falcon Relays, the Washington Demon girls’ track team is back in competition tonight in Mediapolis.The Demons are scheduled to compete in the Bullette Relays this afternoon and will see several teams from the region. Among the teams competing at the Bullette Relays include: Columbus, WACO, Central Lee, Keokuk, Pekin, and West Liberty.

The Demon girls’ track team fared well in their first outdoor competition of the season Tuesday evening at the Falcon Relays in West Burlington. Washington finished the team competition in second place with 85 team points. The only team better than the Demons Tuesday was the Mount Pleasant Panthers, who ran away with the team title with 197 points.

Washington senior Macy Marek and junior Emme Keith produced first place finishes for the Demons on Tuesday. Marek won the 200 meter dash competition with a time of 26.98 seconds. Keith won the 3000 meter run in 12:22.82, 12 seconds better than the next competitor.

Events for the Bullette Relays begins this afternoon at 4:30 at Mediapolis High School.
