The IMS boys’ golf team competed at Lagos Acres Golf Course in Keota yesterday. IMS would receive third place in the event with a score of 214. English Valleys was the winner with 181 strokes and Keota took second with 199.

IMS’s 214 score was an improvement. Their score Monday was 34 strokes below the team’s nine-hole average so far this season.

IMS was led by Drake Brezina with 48. Rounding up the scoring was Caleb Yoder with 50, Roman Slabah 52, Mark Eckler, 64 and Palmer Thomas 65.

English Valleys was led by senior Andrew Kerkove with 40 strokes just four strokes from par. Keota was led by freshman Riley Conrad and sophomore Cole Stout both with 48.

IMS next meet will be against Lone Tree, on Thursday.
