The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ golf team is set to start their first golf of the season tomorrow as they take on the Wapello Indians. Iowa Mennonite School comes in to this meet with only five on the roster, just one short of making it a full team. The five on the team are three sophomores and two freshmen.

IMS coach Steve Nelson says he has seen improvement with his young squad, but will look to see more during the meet, “A lot of fine tuning that they need to work on it’s going to be getting consistent. They can hit some really good shots, but their consistency is not there. So they hit quite a few bad shots right now. Once we get more and more consistent and take our time and do the fundamentals right, our scores are just going to get lower and lower.”

The meet against Wapello will begin at 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Kalona Golf Club.
