The Iowa Mennonite School boys’ golf team will be heading to Columbus for a dual meet today to take on the Wildcats.

With the weather conditions this week not being the best for golf, IMS coach Steve Nelson knows it has had an effect on his young team, “Having to be prepared for the conditions, wearing warm clothes, it restricts your swing a little bit. It’s all just a part of the learning experience.”

IMS has seen some improvements in their team. Sophomore Caleb Yoder shot his best scoreboard of the year in their home triangular meet on Tuesday shooting a 54; beating his previous best by eight shots.

The match will begin today at 4 p.m. at the Cedar Crest Country Club.
