The Iowa Mennonite School soccer team will be starting their season today as they take on Des Moines Christian. IMS had one scrimmage to get ready for the season, when they fell to Mid-Prairie 2-1.

IMS went 10-10 last year, and brings back five seniors, three of which who started Kirby Shetler, Kobi Russom, and Micheal Hershberger. Shetler had a shot on goal percentage of 52 percent. Russom had 25 kicks that were shots on goal.

They will be playing a Des Monies Christian team that went 8-7 last year and lost five of their starters due to graduation.

The game will take place at Iowa Mennonite School at 5:30 p.m.
