Students planning to take classes at the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center in the fall are asked to attend an orientation session Thursday. Tera Pickens, director of the center, explains the event will start at 6 p.m. at the Washington High School with an overview of how the program works for students earning college credit while in high school. Following the overview, students and their parents will take buses to the regional center to learn more about their chosen academies.

This event is for all high school students who will be taking Kirkwood courses and their parents from all of the area school districts. For any students who are unable to attend this Thursday, staff will be following up with them to schedule a smaller orientation.
