Last month only half an inch of precipitation was recorded in Washington, while the norm for the month of March is 2.34 inches. The average temperature was 35.7 degrees, nearly two degrees below the normal mark.

So far this year, according to the National Weather Service, Washington’s average temperature has been 24.3 degrees, below the normal 28.1 degrees. Also, during the first three months of the year there is normally 4.92 inches of precipitation, but only 2.73 has been observed.
