The Mid-Prairie boys’ track team took part in the Demon Relays last night.

The Golden Hawks as a team had a good showing scoring 87 points as a team good enough for third out our seven teams. Levi Duwa received first place in the discus with a throw of 135 feet and four inches. Duwa also received third place in the shotput with a throw of 47 feet and 10 inches.

The Golden Hawks achieved first place in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 8:59 seconds. Athletes that participated in that event were Peyton Miller, Brent Foster, Andrew Schwartz, and Jared Draper. Colin Weber achieved second place in the 400 meter run with a time 53.05 seconds. Jared Draper received second place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:51 seconds. In the 1600 meter medley achieved a first place finish with a time of 4:03.12 seconds. Athletes that were part of that were Weber, Jack Young, Andrew Schwartz and Foster. In the 4×400 meter relay the Golden Hawks received third place with a time of 3:50.11 seconds. Athletes in the event were, Draper, Schaefer, Powell and Weber.

The next track meet for the Golden Hawks will be in the Indian Relays next Tuesday, in Wapello.
