The Mid-Prairie boys’ (1-4) and girls’ (4-1) soccer teams will host games today with the boys taking on the Highland Huskies (4-2) and the girls against the number two ranked Iowa City Regina Regals (4-0).

The boys will look to bounce back after losing in penalty kicks to Columbus Junction Friday night, 5-4. A bright spot for the Golden Hawks has been senior Jordan Ulin who is leading the team wiith five goals. They will be facing a Highland team who has scored 12 goals and given up just one goal the past two games. They are led by senior Bryan Garcia who has scored 14 goals this season, which is tied for seventh best in the state. The game will take place in Wellman at 4:30 p.m. today at the Wellman Recreation Complex.

The girls will be looking for their fifth win in a row. They have outscored their opponents 13-1 during that stretch. The Golden Hawks are led in scoring by senior Ashley Miller with seven goals so far this season. The Regals are ranked second in Class 1A in the state of Iowa. Regina has outscored their opponents so far this season 18-2. The game will take place today at 4:30 p.m. at the Wellman Recreation Complex.
