The Mid-Prairie girls’ and boys’ soccer teams will look to bounce back after losing their opening games of the year.

The girls’ are coming off of a tough loss to Clear Creek Amana at Tiffin on Tuesday. They will be going against a West Liberty team that also lost a season opener to Solon, 8-1. The game will take place tonight at 4:30 p.m. in Wellman.

The Mid-Prairie boys’ will also look to bounce back after a loss on Monday to Clear Creek Amana 2-1. The Golden Hawks are now 10th in the rankings falling four spots from their preseason ranking in Class 1A. West Liberty had Mid-Prairie’s number last year with the Golden Hawks losing in both matches to the Comets with scores of 1-2 and 2-3. West Liberty is also stumbling out of the gate, losing their first two games to Muscatine and Davenport Assumption. Tonight’s game will take place at West Liberty at 5 p.m.
