The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks boys’ track team had high results from their first outdoor track meet of the year.

Senior Colin Weber took first place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.17 seconds beating the second place finisher by .22 seconds. Not far behind was teammate freshman Peyton Miller who finished in third place with a time of 53.89 seconds.

Sophomore Levi Duwa finished in second place in the discus with a throw of 140 feet and four inches. Duwa also placed fourth in the shotput with a throw of 48 feet and one inch. Senior Jared Draper got second place in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:51.11 seconds.

The boys distance medley finished in third place with a time of 3:52.4 seconds, runs included Weber, Peyton Miller, Isaiahn Powell and Jack Young. Powell finshed in fifth place in the long jump with a jump of 19 feet five inches. Junior Ryan Errthum got fourth place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:41.88 seconds.

The Golden Hawks will next run on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. at Williamsburg High School.
