A traffic stop in New London led to the discovery of multiple mobile meth labs earlier this week. Authorities pulled over a car driven by Michael Carpenter of New London at Highway 34 and Penn Avenue for minor traffic offenses Monday evening and found three one pot meth labs in the vehicle.

According to New London Police Chief Ryan Wilka, after the labs were discovered, they called in members of the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Mount Pleasant Police Department who are lab certified and have the gear to handle these situations.

The 23-year-old is charged with two felonies related to the manufacturing of methamphetamine, as well as driving under suspension and no insurance.
