A public forum held to determine the community’s interest in saving the Bunker Mill Bridge was well attended Tuesday night. Mayor Ken Herington says everyone who spoke wanted the historic bridge preserved. Some stayed after the forum to set up a non-profit that will accept donations to fund a bridge inspection. He explains City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh and others will go before the Washington County Board of Supervisors next week to discuss what they have planned. The board can then decide to sell the bridge to the new non-profit or tear it down.
