In windy conditions yesterday, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks boys’ golf team had a dual meet against Iowa City Regina at the Kalona Golf Club. Regina won the dual 194-209, but it was the lowest score for Mid-Prairie this season.

The Golden Hawks were led by freshman Michael Callahen with a shot of 47, which was good enough for runner-up medalist. Mid-Prairie sophomores Duncan McCain, Seth Mann, and Zach Owens all scored a 54.

The Golden Hawks will next travel for a tournament in Durant tonight. Teams competing include, North Cedar,Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty, Wilton, Columbus, Williamsburg, Solon and Winfield-Mount Union.

The tournament will take place tonight at 12:30 p.m. in Durant.
