Dispatchers across the country are being recognized as part of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. Cara Sorrells, director of the Washington County E911 Center, explains a telecommunicator answers the phone when 911 is called and then directs the needed authorities to the scene. Sorrells states Sandy Lovetinsky was recently recognized for her 25 year milestone.

Sorrells applauds the work of her staff. For more information about the work telecommunicators do in Washington County listen to today’s Washington Page.
