The Washington County Board of Supervisors will soon be amplified, as they are currently gathering information to install microphones and speakers. Supervisor Abe Miller said at this week’s supervisors meeting that the $3,100 estimate includes one microphone for each supervisor, one microphone for any presenters, a board and two speakers, plus installation.

Supervisor Richard Young suggested looking into getting a door with a window and closing the door during the meetings but allowing people to enter at any time.

Supervisor Chairman Jack Seward explained he does not want the door closed, and the money is in the budget for the sound system.

One estimate has been provided.
