The school year is winding down in southeast Iowa. This past weekend, Highland graduated 55 students and WACO graduated 34. Seniors that attend other local schools, such as Mid-Prairie High School and Iowa Mennonite School, will officially graduate this weekend. Commencement ceremonies for the 26 IMS and 75 Mid-Prairie students will be held Sunday.

Mid-Prairie High School was recently named the second best in the state in a national study. Mid-Prairie High School Principal Jim Cayton says members of the senior class deserve a lot of credit for the school’s ranking.
