Thirteen cyclists will pass through southeast Iowa tomorrow morning as they travel from the Missouri border to the Minnesota border. The fifth annual AFRAID, or A Fast Ride Across Iowa in a Day, begins at the Missouri border south of Milton at 5 a.m. The participants are expected to pass through Fairfield at 7 a.m. and Keota at 9 a.m. as they head north to the Minnesota border.

This 240 mile bike ride is a fundraiser for the non-profit Bethany Christian Services of South Central Iowa which will use the proceeds to provide support for women and men dealing with unplanned pregnancies. The organization will do so by helping them with rent, food, utilities and medical care.
