The Washington County Extension hosted a “Survivor” Day Camp recently teaching survival lessons.  Jodi Ebert, Day Camp Coordinator says twenty-one fourth and fifth graders attended the camp to learn about first-aid situations that could arise when outdoors.

Pam Holz from the Washington County Conservation Center taught the campers how to use food that represented items found in nature. Some of the activities during the day were a scavenger hunt, “Minute to Win It” games with the day wrapping up with water games.

Members of the County Council that participated were Matt Romoser, Josie Wagler and Maggie Van Roekel.
