It was another good showing for the Washington girls’ golf team Thursday afternoon at the Lake Cooper Golf Course in Keokuk. The Demons took to the course with Southeast Conference members Keokuk and Fairfield for league triangular, and Washington had the lowest score at 184.

Three individuals, including two Demon golfers, shared the meet’s medalist honor. Junior Deanna Peiffer and freshman Sarah Nacos each finished their round of golf in 43 strokes. Fairfield’s Lindsey Repp also carded 43 during her round.

Senior Sarah Waite and junior Brenna Burlingame completed their rounds with identical scores, shooting a 49 to round out the Demons scoring.

Washigton’s girls’ golf team is taking part in the Lady Hawk tournament this morning hosted by Central Lee High School. Tee time for the event is set for 8 a.m. at the Green Acres Country Club in Donnellson.
