On a breezy cool day, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys’ golf team teed off at Solon yesterday in a River Valley Conference meet that consisted of all 13 teams in the conference.

West Branch won the River Valley Conference title by one stroke over Monticello. The Tipton team placed third. Mid-Prairie finished 13th as a team. Freshman Michael Callahan led the Golden Hawks with scores of 44, 46 for 90 strokes overall. Sophomore Seth Mann scored a 43, 50 for a 93 stroke finish.

Mid-Prairie will hold sectionals at the Kalona Golf Club on Friday.
