Approaching their only contest of the week, the Highland Huskies boys’ soccer team (6-3 overall) are in the top 10 in Class 1A in key offensive categories.

In nine regular season matches this spring, Highland has scored 41 goals, four behind Tri Center for the most goals converted in Class 1A soccer. Senior Bryan Garcia has scored 19 goals this season, tied with Tri County sophomore Tyler Paulson for the most goals scored in Class 1A. Four Huskies have scored four of more goals this season including: Garcia, Jessie Jesse Wollrab (10), Kory Schnoebelen (7), and Tyler Beers (4).

The Huskies have assisted on 24 of their 41 goals this season, the seventh most recorded so far in Class 1A. Wollrab’s team leading nine assists is the fourth most produced in Class 1A this spring.

The Huskies lone contest of the week is tonight, hosting the Danville Bears. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. from Highland High School.
